近几年来,我国建筑形式创造开始活跃:有的喜欢抄套外国建筑形式,或追求时髦;有的返首回顾,摹仿中国古建筑;有的求高雅;有的满足于豪华、俗丽;还有人一直坚持主要应解决有无问题,重功能、技术、经济等等。总之,如何对待建筑形式趋向,这是建筑思想与创造活跃起来之后值得思考的一个问题。建筑形式为什么有不同的趋向建筑形式是建筑内容的外在表现。建筑的内容归根到底是社会生活。与生活联系起来的建筑形式正如席勒所说,是“活的形式”。这“活”正是使它有不同趋向的原因之一。建筑形式是人们创造的产物。人的创造总是从必然到自由的。与自由联系起来的建筑形式是“自由的形式”。这“自由”因时代、因人而异,也是使建筑形式具有不同趋向的原因。

Why do architectural forms have different trends? Architectural forms are the external manifestations of architectural content. In the final analysis, the content of architecture is social life. The architectural forms associated with life, as Schiller says, are “living forms.” This “living” is one of the reasons that makes it different. Architectural forms are the product of people’s creation. Man’s creation always goes from inevitability to freedom. The architectural form associated with freedom is “the form of freedom.” This “freedom” varies with the times and people, and it is also the reason why the architectural forms have different trends.
