瑞典Karolinska研究院已故神经外科Leksell教授早于1951年首先提出了放射手术对颅内疾病的治疗。1968年第一台伽玛刀问世并用于临床,迄今全世界已有数以万计的患者因各种适应症接受伽玛刀放射手术治疗,收到良好的效果。当今外科技术正朝着微创和无创方向发展,伽玛刀正是顺应了这种潮流,而被世界上越来越多的神经外科医生所接受。伽玛刀治疗随着现代科技的发展已经在放射生物学、显微放射外科及影像诊断等领域取得新进展,在美国夏威夷举行的第七届国际伽玛刀协会学术年会上,与会的50个国家和地区的250名专家就上述领域里所取得的新进展进行了广泛深入的交流,现将大会交流内容综述如下:
As early as 1951, Leksell, the late neurosurgeon at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, first proposed the treatment of intracranial disease with radiosurgery. The first gamma knife was introduced in 1968 and used in clinical practice. Till now, tens of thousands of patients in the world have received good results in gamma knife radiosurgery due to various indications. Today’s surgical techniques are moving in a direction of minimally invasive and noninvasive. Gamma Knife is following this trend and being accepted by more and more neurosurgeons in the world. Gamma knife treatment With the development of modern science and technology has made new progress in the fields of radiobiology, microscopic radiosurgery and imaging diagnosis. At the 7th International Gamma Knife Association Annual Meeting held in Hawaii, USA, 50 250 experts from a wide range of countries and regions made extensive and in-depth exchanges on the new progress made in the above fields. The general exchange of the meeting is summarized as follows:
