Objective To understand the iodine nutrition status of women of childbearing age in Yanqing County, Beijing, and to provide basis for preventing iodine deficiency disorders. Methods A total of 609 women of childbearing age from 20 to 50 years old located in the east, south, west, north and south of Yanqing County were enrolled. Urinary iodine was detected. Results A total of 609 women of childbearing age in Yanqing County were collected from 2010 to 2012. The median urinary iodine concentrations were 255.9, 320.5 and 252.3 μg / L, respectively. Urinary iodine value <100μg / L 27 people, accounting for 4.4%; urinary iodine value <50μg / L 2, accounting for 0.2%; has reached the iodine deficiency deficiency elimination criteria. The median urinary iodine was 303.2,269.2 and 184.8 μg / L in urban, plains and mountainous areas of Yanqing County from 2010 to 2012. The non-parametric Knlskal-wallis Test was used to analyze the urinary iodine. There was statistical difference between the 3 groups significance. The median urinary iodine in women of childbearing age in three age groups of 20-29, 30-39 and 40-49 monitored were 276.4, 280.4 and 231.5 μg / L, respectively. The nonparametric Knlskal-wallis Test was used to analyze the data (P = 0.50, Therefore, we can not yet consider the difference between the three groups as statistically significant. Conclusion Iodine nutrition is not enough in women of childbearing age in Yanqing County. In the future monitoring of iodine deficiency disorders, we should continue to strengthen the monitoring of urinary iodine levels in women of childbearing age.
