Objective To evaluate the effect of intravenous midazolam sedation on the compliance of wisdom tooth removal in patients with dental amblyopia. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with dental fear were randomly divided into two groups: midazolam group was given midazolam intravenously (0.05mg / kg) before local anesthesia, and the control group only received local anesthesia. After the tooth extraction surgery, the two groups of patients were surveyed on the feeling of the entire tooth extraction process, fill in the patient Frankl treatment compliance scale and Houpt behavior scale. The Frankl treatment compliance scores and Houpt behavior values of two groups of patients were statistically analyzed. Results The Frankl score (3.68 ± 0.29 vs 2.07 ± 0.42, P <0.05) and the Houpt score (5.81 ± 0.37 vs 3.58 ± 0.72, P <0.01) in the midazolam group and the control group were all significantly different. Conclusion Intravenous injection of midazolam before extraction can make patients with dental fear more cooperate and improve patient compliance.
