Since George Baranchini died seven years ago, many have shown his readers his unique life in his book, most of whom were former dancers of the New York City Ballet that he led. Gersh Kirkland’s “Mellow Dancing Me” (1986) full of vengeance and anger has been on the list of bestsellers. This year, Kirkland launched a work on Balanchin who, with contempt, ended with no lack of goodwill. A memoir that the dance world has been waiting for is also coming out this year, and its author is Susan Farrell, the last goddess of Baranchin. Farrell book “sky jump” written in a fair and somewhat restrained.
