苎麻是杂交异质体。关于既能保持其品种优良性状,又能快速繁殖的新繁殖法,国内研究者曾作了许多有益的探索:诸如利用组织培养技术培育麻苗;应用麻株离体压条繁殖;以及细切种根繁殖和分株繁殖等。扦插繁殖在国外极少应用,国内台、闽、粤等地虽有应用,但其所应用的乃是削去顶端麻稍(嫩枝)、充分成熟的麻茎所切成的插条,与笔者等曾提出的嫩枝扦插繁殖迥然不同。嫩枝扦插期间有其特殊的生理过程和形态发生的机理,本文报道这方面的研究结果。
