说文解字中,醫,是由三个字组成的:医、殳、酉。医,盛弓弩矢器也。从匚,从矢。《国语》曰:“兵不解医。”意思是:医,装弓、弩、箭只的器具。字形采用“匚、矢”会义。《国语》说:“随时备战,弓弩矢不离盛器。”可见最初“医”是工具的意思。我国古代的医疗技术可追溯到石器时代,那时就已产生了用石片制成的医疗工具——砭石。据《山海经》记载:“高氏之山,其上多玉,有石可以为砭针,堪以破痈肿者也。”《素问·异法方宜论》也
