在文坛复古思潮此起彼伏的清代,桐城派和扬州学派共同推动的乾嘉文章正宗之争,始终胶着在如何认识与处理古文与时文即八股制艺的关系这一核心命题上。选择以古文与时文合流的桐城派,凭借制式教育的力量完成了古文理念的普及,却遭致古文时文化的讥议;而选择以精英化的古文对抗流行时文的扬州学派,守护住了古文的文化底蕴,却陷入了受众寥寥的困境。这种抗争与妥协,正彰显出乾嘉文学复古运动的时代困局。
In the literary arena of the retro trend of thought, one after another in the Qing Dynasty, Tongcheng school and Yangzhou school jointly promote the Qianjia article authentic dispute, always stalemate in how to understand and deal with the ancient writing and the essay that is the relationship between the eight parts of the core proposition.
