由中国兵器工业第二〇八研究所研制的警用38mm转轮防暴发射器自2006年设计定型以来,已大量装备公安及武警部队,并出口到多个国家和地区。新近,该研究所推出38mm转轮防暴发射器改进型,其基本保持了原型枪的外形和结构设计,但在人机工程设计和瞄准具拓展方面进行了较大改进。原框架形铝合金枪托改成了聚合物制成的L形枪托,枪托与枪身仍旧采用可拆卸式设计,但采用了新的结合方式;机匣侧面由锥形改成了圆弧形,并在圆弧形的两侧各铣出一个平面,其上刻印研制单位的标识和武器的编号等信息;转轮座顶部增加了狼牙状的皮卡汀尼导轨,用于安装
