It is a pleasure,indeed,to be part of this Special Redox Bi-ology Issue of Molecular Plant-a joual yet to celebrate its second birthday.The harvest of papers is rich indeed:17 re-search articles and four reviews covering a range of topics that will be divided and published in two separate issues of Molec-ular Plant-the current (Vol.2,No.2) and subsequent (Vol.2,No.3) issues.Many of the contributions deal with redox reg-ulation-a field that has grown beyond all expectation since its inception in the 1960s in studies on photosynthesis.
