人们预测预报森林火险等级,一直以天气状况为主要依据。最近,我国核工业北京地质研究院通过对1998年5月内蒙古自治区大兴安岭林管局阿尔山林业局森林大火的初步研究表明,该区域的森林大火存在两种异常情况,一是岩石缝冒火,二是大火将地表植被烧光之后,光秃秃的地表依然在燃烧,说明地表处可能存在着可燃气体。根据地质资料和卫星遥感图片判读发现,该区域正好处于北西西大断裂带和北东断裂带的交汇处,
