With the finite temperature field theory, the temperature and density effects of vacuum polarization and the electromagnetic properties of the background medium are studied. The finite temperature, the density correction and the permittivity and permeability of the vacuum background are calculated strictly. Strict analytical expressions that apply to any temperature and any density.
