方长安指出,传播作为现代社会的一个重要维度,改变了诗人们的创作心理、主题想象、诗性体认与言说方式,参与了新诗生产,赋予新诗诸多现代性品格;然而新诗内部由是存在着传媒化这一负面因子,抑制着新诗诗性的生成。李怡、苏雪莲强调,现代大众传媒是新诗生成的诸种合力中的一种,它不仅为诗歌提供了新的表现空间,使诗歌具有了不同于古典时代的功能,而且还塑造了新诗的表意方式和美学特征,带来了新诗阅读方式的变化。鲍焕然认为,新诗的媒介类型主要有日记、私人书信、杂志、报纸副刊、诗集、沙龙、社团、课堂,以及街头、农村和战场为平台的社会环境媒介等等,它们凭借不同的文化特征在白话新诗的建构中发挥着不同的功能和影响。陶丽萍从传播角度考察了新诗经典化现象,认为新诗经典的确立,既与文本诗性相关,更是报刊发表、出版、公共阅读、批评、文学史叙事、公共教育以及评奖等多重传播机制共同言说与历史扩张的结果。
