刘江,1985年从中国社科院研究生院新闻系毕业后到新华社国际部工作,历任欧美编辑室副主任,国际部发稿中心副主任、主任,国际部副主任,新华社非洲总分社副社长、华盛顿分社社长,现为新华社副总编辑。1995年破格晋升为高级编辑。刘江1991年因成功组织海湾战争对外报道,受到新华社表彰;1993年在索马里战地采访时遭枪击负伤,受到新华社通令嘉奖;1994年荣获新华社首届国际“十佳”记者称号。他的作品曾多次获中国国际新闻奖和新华社优秀新闻奖。
After graduating from the press department of Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1985, Liu Jiang worked in the International Department of Xinhua News Agency. He served successively as the deputy director of the editorial office in Europe and America, the deputy director and director of the dispatch center of the International Department, the deputy director of the international department, President, Washington Branch president, is now vice president of Xinhua News Agency. 1995 was promoted to senior editor. In 1991, Liu Jiang was honored by the Xinhua News Agency for his success in organizing the Gulf War.
