In the metal powder production, processing and handling process, in order to avoid powder explosion and combustion, you need to know a variety of powder reaction in the air knowledge. Chemical composition, particle size and size distribution, particle shape, chemical additives added to the powder, surface coating, and ambient atmosphere all have a direct impact on the sensitivity of the powder explosion and combustion. This article discusses the mechanisms of powder explosions and natural reactions, the minimum dust concentration and flammability of metal powder explosions, and classifies them. Finally, the issue of safety protection is discussed.
