前言滑石的定量分析,以前都是采用化学方法,是以镁的硅酸盐含量来确定滑石的含量,此法对于共生矿物组合为碳酸盐矿物(白云石、菱镁矿及方解石等)形成的滑石矿床既简单又准确。然而,在多数情况下,与滑石伴生的矿物,除碳酸盐矿物外,还有镁的硅酸盐的透闪石、透辉石、绿泥石及蛇纹石等矿物。因此,用化学方法难以准确测定滑石的真正含量。在X射线衍射中,衍射峰的强度与被测相的含量成正比。并与其他物质的存在无关。所以,根据滑石某一特定衍射峰的强度,来测定滑石的含量,可以得到较为满意的结果。
