The transient phenomenon in a gain-saturated reverse-pumping fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) was studied. The transient duration of the available signals in FRA fiber was found by analyzing the expression and numerical analysis. 10 - 1 ms magnitude). In a cascaded FRA, power transients deteriorate as the series increases. The analysis also shows that in a forward-saturating saturated FRA, saturation of the crossover gain leads to a reduction of the channel crosstalk and extinction ratio.
