层序地层对比是指在横向上不同钻孔(钻井)或剖面之间,进行层序地层格架的横向对比工作。这方面的工作包括:三级层序边界的追踪、对比,三级体系域的对比,标志层的追踪和对比,煤层的对比等。层序地层对比和层序地层格架具有重要的意义。在含煤盆地中,湖泛面变化控制了范围内聚煤中心的迁移规律,因此,层序对比工作对于寻找有利聚煤区域十分重要。此外,研究煤层在层序地层格架中的位置并进行横向上的层序对比工作,可以有效地追踪煤层在层序地层中位置的变化情况,总结出煤层聚集和赋存的规律,从而较好地规划和指导陇东煤田煤炭资源的勘查开发工作。
Sequence stratigraphic correlation refers to the horizontal contrast of sequence stratigraphic framework between different boreholes (drilling) or profiles in the horizontal direction. The work in this area includes: tracking and contrasting the boundaries of the third-order sequence, comparing the third-level system domains, tracking and comparing the marker layers, and comparing the coal seams. Therefore, the contrast of the sequences is very important for finding favorable coal-accumulating regions.
