《数学课程标准》指出,数学教学不仅要教给学生数学知识,而且还要揭示获取知识的思维过程。从而把数学思想和方法列为数学的基础知识,提出发展思维的核心。现代教育观认为,重要的数学教学内容不应是那些孤立的概念、法则、公式、定理、公理等知识点,而是存在于不同数学知识间的重要关系、常用的数学思想方法、基本的数学观念等知识。足可见在未来的应用中数学思想的重要性与日俱增。
