红枣,又称大枣,是我国著名特产。红枣的营养极为丰富,据专家测定,红枣不仅含有糖类、淀粉、脂肪、蛋白质,而且还含有维生素B_2、C、D和钙、磷、铁等微量元素。鲜枣中含的维生素C为百果之冠,每100克含维生素C高达540毫克,比苹果高100倍,比梨高140倍,故有“天然维生素C丸”之美称。常吃红枣有养血、强身之功效。明代医学家李时珍在《本草纲目》中记载:“大枣气味甘平,安中,养脾气,平胃气,通九窍助十二经,补少气、少津液……久服轻身延年。”故被誉为“益寿果”。
