一、美术文献翻译的重要性翻译是国际交往中的必经程序。……中国文明很善于吸收外来文化,像唐代就是一个政治、经济、文化各方面都有国际水准的时期,也是翻译文献最多的时期之一。那些翻译文献不仅影响了整个中国的文化精神,甚至影响了汉语的表达方式。比如佛经的翻译,就改变了中国经典深奥的古文传统,用更为简洁醒豁的白话文表达,更适合普通人持颂、研读。到了晚清,政府专门设立了翻译局进行大量翻译工作,这项工作一直持续到民国。在中国向世界开放的过程中,西方丰富的科学、文学、哲学、艺术、宗教著作都被翻译过来,掀起了中华民族吸收外来文化的新高潮。
