由中国科学院系统科学研究所副所长吴文俊教授主编的《<九章算术>与刘徽》论文集即将出版了。《九章算术》,这部流传至今的我国最古的数学杰作,其内容之丰富;某些课题居于世界领先的地位等等,均早已为国内外所称道。尤其是刘徽的《九章算术注》,更已成为数学史上的重要文献了。长期以来,对于《九章算术》及刘徽的《九章算术注》的研究。也早已在国内外引起了重视。如几十年前,日本的数学史家三上义夫、小仓金之助等对这部书就进行过很好的研究。目前,《九章算术》已被译为英、日、俄、德几国的文字;刘徽已被列入美国出版的《科学家传记辞典》中。其它如丹麦的华道安(这是Wagner自己起的中文名字)、澳大利亚的何丙郁(Ho Pen-York)以及苏联的别辽兹金娜等,也都研究过刘 The Proceedings of Nine Chapters and Liu Hui, edited by Professor Wu Wenjun, deputy director of the Institute of Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is about to be published. “Nine Chapters of Arithmetic”, the most ancient math masterpiece in our country that has spread so far, is rich in content; some of the subjects are among the most advanced in the world and so on, all of which have long been praised at home and abroad.
