笔者及团队成员于2007年至2010年对安徽、山东、河南、江苏北部的部分农村地区的孝道情况进行了相关调查,发现用“孝”“不孝”这种二分法的词汇不能准确表达当前的孝道实践,因为传统孝道的内涵在当前以一种较为复杂的面貌呈现在人们面前:浑然一体的传统孝道在养与敬、敬与顺、父母生前与死后等领域都呈现出一种分离的状态,而孝道的这种分离是受到经济社会的转型等外力的冲击,并不纯粹是个体有意识的反抗父母、抵制权威的后果。总之,当前中国经济社会转型时期部分乡村社会的孝道实践出现了很多新的变化,而这些变化显然需要一种社会学视角的解读。
