The family is the first rehabilitation station for the mentally ill and a bridge from the hospital to the society. The knowledge of the mental illness of the relatives in the family and their attitudes toward the patients directly affect the rehabilitation of the patients. Understanding the psychological status of the patient’s relatives is of great importance in preventing the recurrence of the patient’s condition. The author designed the questionnaire to conduct a psychological survey of 91 relatives who visited the patient from 1996 to 1997. 1 survey method using questionnaire survey, the questionnaire includes the general situation of respondents, awareness of mental illness, distressed patients, things, attitude to the patient 4 aspects.
