In the year of 2000/2001, the world’s oil crop production will create a new historical record. The main reason is that US soybean production has increased significantly. It is estimated that the world’s major oil crop production in 2000/2001 will reach 308 million tons, which is a substantial increase from 298 million tons in 1999/2000. This figure is the latest World Oil Crop Supply and Demand of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
