这是一个新的制碱方法,系郑重知及其合作者在抗战期内研究完成的。在1944年及1945年间获二种专利权。现并著成专书出版(龙门书局英文版),实为我国科学技术界的一个创举,是值得称道的。这个方法命名为Potash Soda Process(可译为钾灰碱法),颇为适当,因为钾灰(potash)在此法中的功用,与氨碱法(ammonia soda pro-cess)中的氨的功用相似。氨碱法中的氨在作用后可以收回,此法中的钾灰亦然。所不同的一点,便是氨是一种极易挥发的气体,钾灰是一种不挥发的固体。氨碱法在实际操作上所遭遇的种种困难大半由于氨的挥发性而起,这是氨碱工厂中所熟知的事实,不必详述,作者为去除此种困难起见提
This is a new method for making caustic soda that was solemnly and completely completed by the collaborators during the War of Resistance Against Japan. In 1944 and 1945 won two patents. It is now commendable to publish a special book (English version of Longmen Bookstore) which is actually a pioneering work of our country’s science and technology community. This method, called the Potash Soda Process, is quite appropriate because the function of potash in this process is in line with the function of ammonia in ammonia soda pro-cess similar.
