李宗津(1916-1977)武进人,1934年入苏州美专,先后师从其叔父李毅士与著名油画家颜文、吕斯百等,1946年至1947年受聘为北平国立艺专讲师,后转入清华大学建筑系,为我国五十年代活跃于画坛的著名油画家。他的油画风格接近徐悲鸿的写实性特点,注重明暗对比,结构形态突出体块特征,故显得立体感极强,在景物质感的表现技巧上能极充分地再现其真实感。最让人注目的是他那极为扎实、严谨的素描造型基础,笔者曾在吕斯百先生处见过他的素描作品,其精湛而富于表现力的素描头像写生,用笔与体现块体形态极为老到,笔触表
