试验旨在研究添喂植物甾醇对泌乳水牛产奶量及乳品质的影响。选择年龄、胎次、泌乳量基本一致的泌乳中期健康成年水牛24头，随机分为3个组。对照组饲喂基础日粮，试验1、2组在对照组的基础上每头每天分别添喂3、5g的植物甾醇（含植物甾醇≥15％）。结果表明：添喂植物甾醇可延缓泌乳中期奶水牛产奶量的下降幅度，延缓幅度分别为14．29％和28．57％；添喂植物甾醇可提高水牛乳中乳蛋白及非脂乳固体的含量，与对照组相比，试验1组乳蛋白率和非脂乳固体率分别提高了4．45％和2．15％（P〉0．05），试验2组则分别提高了5．
