中华民族绘画艺术对线的运用,可追溯到六千年前的仰韶文化时期的彩陶绘画及晚周的帛画、楚器漆画和汉唐的壁画,先民们对事物的表现主要依靠对线的运用,通过直接简练、概括的绘画形式,达到静止与运动的曲线满目皆是,先民们不仅从这些古老观念图式的曲线中对所表现对象的映实,而且得到了生命运动,力量感受及韵律美的启示。以少胜多,相衬显万物,不弧立地追求质量感,体积感,正是这样的“线”,决定了自身具有一种独立的审美意义。
