双机着陆即双机同时着陆,可以极大地提高着陆效率,在相同时间里,可以降落更多的飞机;相同数量的飞机,降落所需的时间也更短。另外可以提高飞行员的着陆技术以及处置特情的能力。例如一旦发生仪表故障,无法正常着陆,如能熟练掌握双机着陆技术,处置起来就容易得多,无需另外起飞飞机带飞。美军在F-16战机新飞行员训练的时候,就把双机着陆技术包含在内。但像“八一”飞行表演队这样,整建制掌握双机着陆技术,并且能常态化保持的并不多。
