威廉·福克纳(William Faulkner 1897-1962),美国著名作家,西方意识流文学的重要代表人物之一,1949年诺贝尔文学奖得主。威廉·福克纳擅长于在写作活动中运用绵延的长句和精简的短句,温婉曲折的对作品中的人物形象进行刻画,并表现出人物角色的复杂的、流动状态的意识和心理变化。本文通过对威廉·福克纳文学作品《喧哗与骚动》、《我弥留之际》进行分析,探讨作者意识流小说作品的艺术特征以及蕴藏在作品中的深刻思考和哲学道理,展示威廉·福克纳在西方文学发展中做出的杰出贡献。
