本文对辽宁省产的毛节纈草原植物形态、生药性状、組織及粉末特征做了較詳細的报导。毛节纈草根及根茎在組織方面較重要的鉴別特征如下:在所有一切薄壁細胞中皆充滿淀粉粒;根部皮层中有含黄棕色树脂的分泌細胞;栓化表皮具乳头状根毛;表皮及下皮层含有多数揮发油滴;近內皮层处有薄壁的石細胞,胞腔大,木化,且紋孔显著;根茎的髓部有石細胞散在或成羣,圆形或长圓形,木化甚强,并有一种被木栓环的石細胞羣;导管多为細孔紋,具明显的单穿孔板。
