超强台风威马逊为2014年太平洋台风季第九个被命名的风暴,意为雷神。2014年7月18日15时30分,“威马逊”在海南省文昌市翁田镇沿海登陆,是1973年以来登陆海南的最强台风。台风过后,海南多个市县交通陷入瘫痪,尤其是登陆点文昌市翁田镇,更是房屋倒塌,损失惨重。海南省省会海口,也是一片狼藉:广告牌几乎全被吹毁、道路旁的大树被连根拔起、街道上水深过膝、公交车牌尽皆损毁、小区内垃圾成堆……之后的几天内,海口断水、断电、断网,民众的日常生活遭遇极大困难。这一组照片,拍摄于风暴过后的7月19日早上,地点为海口振兴南路、海府一横路和白龙南路等路段,其时风雨刚刚过去,政府救灾已经启动,海口民众也开始自发救灾。相对于地震灾害,人们对风灾的危害往往认识不足、严重低估,毕竟我国多是内陆地区。发表这组图片,不在于展览灾难,而是力图引起人们对风灾的重视,对台风的预防、救灾以及关于城市建设等方面的反思,更应该引起我们对貌似先进却又脆弱的“现代化生活”的反省。
