This paper introduces the development and application of VAST satellite communication with single carrier multiple access and frame relay network structure to the substation in remote mountainous area. As a new method in power system communication, it is advanced, reliable, economical and applicable. It has good promotion and application value in long-distance and remote mountainous areas.
