兵团党委四届十次全委(扩大)会议的主题非常鲜明,那就是用江泽民同志“七一”讲话精神统一广大干部群众的思想,坚定信心,迎难而上,努力开创兵团国有工交建商企业改革和发展的新局面,不断推进兵团屯垦戍边事业新的实践。兵团党委在新世纪初专门召开会议,专题研究国有工交建商企业的改革和发展问题,充分表明,兵团党委对搞好工交建商企业的态度是积极的,信心是坚定的。兵团的国有工交建商企业与兵团的屯垦戍边事业相伴而生,共同走过了半个世纪的发展历程。建国之初的新疆,百废待兴,进疆人民解放军的广大官兵在担负起保卫边疆光荣任务的同时,自力更生、艰苦创业,节衣缩食,白手起家,兴办了工业,交通运输业、建筑业以及商贸流通业。半个世纪以来,作为新疆经济建设的一支重要力量,兵团的工交建商企业,为新疆建立完整的国民经济体系,为新疆的经济繁荣和社会进步作出了重要贡献。
