《带灯》的分裂叙事不仅表现在人物性格设置上和多重隐喻意象的安排上,还表现在小说叙事风格上,而这种分裂,实则源于叙事者叙事意图与叙事手法的内在冲突与分裂,包括交替的叙事视角、杂糅的叙事声音、分裂的叙事立场,种种分裂交织在一起,构成了一次分裂实验。正是这种意图与手段的分歧,导致了小说的分裂叙事。尽管这个实验并不成功,然而在种种分裂之中也使得小说产生了别样的张力。
