正像民间文学是文学的鼻祖一样,故事传说是中国小说的鼻祖。故事传说是小说创作的源头和初级阶段,小说创作乃是故事传说的提升、完善和高级阶段,二者之间存在着相得益彰的文学互补、递进关系。
Just as folklore is the originator of literature, storytelling is the originator of Chinese novels. Story legend is the source and primary stage of novel creation. Novel creation is the promotion, improvement and advanced stage of story tales. There is complementarity and progressive relationship between each other.
