湖南传统民居建筑在地理环境、气候条件、生活方式和文化风俗等诸因素的影响下,形成了具有地域特色的民居艺术。由于受社会发展、经济进步、现代生活方式的渗透及自然力的破坏等多种因素的影响,湖南民居建筑正逐渐被砖瓦和水泥结构的现代建筑所代替,大批优秀的湖南传统民居建筑及其所承载的文化也在逐渐消失。在城市化飞速发展的今天,对传统民居艺术的利用、传承与创新发展,成了传承传统文化精髓亟待解决的基本问题。文章从分析湖湘民居建筑的艺术性出发,并从现实角度论证传统民居在现代城市小区建设中的运用程度,寻找出其传承与创新发展的策略,旨在使湖湘的传统民居建筑文化得以延续和传承,使湖湘传统民居建筑艺术在城市的发展中得到可持续发展。
