If the past Windows Vista led a new round of hardware upgrades, then the rapid popularity of laptops can be seen as a catalyst for the development of wireless LAN. From the initial 802.11 to the current Draft 802.11n, wireless LAN speeds have increased by tens or even hundreds of times, and wireless LANs have also replaced traditional wired networks in many environments. When wireless LANs have become standard on laptops, netbooks and even mobile phones, wireless LAN devices are no longer just a few applications of the environment but have become the primary means of connecting mobile devices to the network.
