纤维封层技术是指采用纤维封层核心设备同时洒(撒)布沥青粘结料和玻璃纤维,然后在上面撒布碎石经碾压后形成新的磨耗层或者应力吸收中间层的一种新型道路建设施工和养护技术。纤维封层施工中,经过专门工艺破碎切割的纤维在上下两层均匀洒布的沥青结合料中呈乱向均匀分布,相互搭接,与沥青混合料形成网络缠绕结构,有效地提高了封层的抗拉、抗剪、抗压和抗冲击强度等综合力学性能。
