我国社会主义现代化事业是物质文明和精神文明协调发展的事业。在以经济建设为中心,搞好物质文明建设的同时,加强社会主义精神文明建设,这关系到我国国民经济和社会发展“九五”规划和2010年远景目标的全面实现,关系到国家、民族的繁荣昌盛。党的十四届六中全会审议、通过的《中共中央关于加强社会主义精神文明建设若干重要问题的决议》,依据邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论特别是关于精神文明建设
The cause of socialist modernization in our country is the cause of the coordinated development of material civilization and spiritual civilization. While taking economic construction as the center and doing a good job in building a material civilization, we must step up the building of socialist spiritual civilization. This is related to the realization of the “Ninth Five-Year” plan for our national economy and social development and the full realization of the long-term goal for 2010. The Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Several Important Issues Regarding Strengthening the Construction of Socialist Spiritual Civilization was reviewed and passed at the 6th Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party.
