Scientific/technical exchange and cooperation is one of vital factors in Sino-U.S.relations.On January 1st,1979,leaders of the two countries signed the "Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between China and the United States".35 years later,Sino-U.S.scientific/ technical exchange and cooperation has become one of the most dynamic and important domains in bilateral relations.Its unique role is irreplaceable.Bilateral scientific/technical exchange and cooperation has promoted mutual understanding and accelerated the overall development of bilateral relations.This exchange and cooperation has become a vital component of Sino-U.S.relations,and has contributed to its all-round development.1 In short,Sino-U.S.scientific/technical cooperation is a reflection of the win-win result in bilateral cooperation and this area,which should be explored as a priority,in the construction of a new type of big power relations between the two countries.
