After forty years' endeavor in economy development, China is rising as a star and winning attention from the rest of the world. Traditionally, the western world plays a predominant role in entertainment industry such as Hollywood. And Chinese movies, which stand for typical Asian culture, are not as influential as western movies. However, this situation is softly changing in the wake of powerful Chinese capital, which leads to the formation of a new concept, Chollywood. This article explored the character of Chollywood, Chinese capital functioning in supporting the globalization of Chollywood and policy restrictions from Chinese government, in which the underlined relationship between international movies and capital might be realized. And it contributed to the academic research in Chinese entertainment industry and this article will also help readers understand why there are more Chinese elements shown in a Hollywood film.
