好像是超前消费,给人以浮躁一样,我们的舆论不知从什么时候起,突然异乎寻常地陷入“拜金”狂潮。汉城奥运会在我们的眼里,能放出光彩的,仿佛也只有这区区五块牌子。一位在汉城采访奥运会的台湾记者,对此颇不以为然,他曾不止一次地同我们的记者讲:“不知为什么你们对这块铜牌宣传这么少,要知道,在台湾现在没有人不知道李梅素这个名字的,这是亚洲人在奥运会田径比赛中夺得的第七枚奖牌,是我们中国人的第四块,别小看这块铜牌,它並不比金牌轻!”
