明清之交,画派林立,“新安画派”崛起于皖南山区,其以反对陈规,标新立异之势冲击了山水画坛。该派的杰出画家查士标,学养丰富,才能超人,品格高迈,勇于创新。他非凡的人生阅历,艺术交游,书画体验,促成了其艺术思想的孤心独怡,从而激活了一己笔墨与画风的嬗变。他不仅在绘画上取得了很高的成就,而且在诗与书法上也形成了自家风貌并为后人所赞叹。特别是他兼学众家,不拘古法探索出的两种书风,以及艺术冶炼所得来的“书法入画”、“书画一体”等观念,启发了艺术家的创作思路,为有理想的书画家走向自然和成功开拓了思想空间。
