1986年9月,英国铁路工程公司的一列示范性国际列车载着来自18个国家出席国际会议的代表作了其第一次运行。该列车由10节车厢组成,第一节车厢是装有显示屏幕的开敞式二等车。第二节是在一端装有饮料和小吃自动售货机的开敞式二等车。第3、4、5、6节都是开敞式二等车。第7节是有厨房和小卖部的餐车,车上还装有电话设备。第8、9节是开敞式一等车。第10节是包间式头等车,可供残疾人乘坐。还供车长使用,也有放行包的空间。制动系统具有微机控制的车轮防滑控制装置。车上用电设备由固态变流器供电,车厢的拉门是动力操纵的,带有微机监测及诊断装置。车厢之间的门也是动力操纵的。
In September 1986, a demonstration of British Railways’ demonstration of international trains carried its first run with representatives from 18 countries attending international conferences. The train consists of 10 cars, the first car is equipped with a display screen open second-class car. Section II is an open second-class car with a vending machine for drinks and snacks at one end.
