虚谷，中国画画家，　　是生在上海，住在扬州的安徽人，　　当过清代的参将，　　又出家当和尚，做过狮林主持。　　画家的名字叫朱怀仁，　　后来改名虚白，字虚谷。　　他不拜菩萨，只是喜欢画画，　　人称“虚谷先生”。
