The theory of communicative action is neither a meta-theory nor an epistemological continuation by other means. The analysis of the theory of communicative action brings us into connection with three kinds of rationality related to social analysis: one is the issue of reasoning that is involved in hermeneutics and Anglo-American analytic philosophy, especially the issue of relativism.
