独龙族自称“独龙”,他称“迪麻”、“俅帕”、“俅子”、“俅人”、“曲洛”等。1952年,独龙族代表孔志清到北京开会,受到敬爱的周恩来总理的接见,在周总理的亲切关怀下,根据本民族自己的意愿,正式定名为独龙族。
Dulong claimed to be “Dragon”, he called “Di Ma”, “Pi Pa”, “prickly heat”, “Man”, “Qu Luo” and so on. In 1952, the representative of Dulong nationality Kong Zhiqing met in Beijing and was beloved by Premier Zhou Enlai. Under Premier Zhou’s cordial care, he was formally named the Dulong Nationality according to his own national wishes.
