沪宁高速公路扩建工程采用“两侧拼接加宽为主、局部分离加宽”的方法,将全线主线由原双向四车道扩建为双向8车道,加宽后8车道整体路基宽42.5m,桥梁宽41.5m。桥梁的拼接模式采用两侧加宽,同结构、同类型、同跨径、上部构造连接,下部构造不连的方法予以拼接。对于上部构造采用板式结构的桥梁,由于新老结构的拼接需拆除原桥外侧边板25cm的悬臂,大量凿除工作会造成施工工期过长,影响沪宁高速公路扩建时期的通行能力,设计考虑切割原桥外侧边板的悬臂,采用植筋技术将新老结构连接。
